6/16/2008 10:15AMHard times but good times...
James Kuvet, we hardly knew you!!! James had to leave the Ringerz for a career enhancement opportunity. The band rule is "family before band" so we wish him nothing but the best and hope to see him back in the scene someday.
We have been very fortunate that while our search for a new bass player goes on, that brother Roland Pena will be throwing the down lows. We've also had the privilige of having bass extraordinaire Tom Canchola from the band "Wolfpack" to help us on gigs Roland can't make.
The Ringerz are alive and well and will keep on rocking!

Having a blast...
It never gets old. Thanks to those that came out this past Friday and Saturday at the Firehouse and Billy D's. We always have a blast there.
Spurs continue kicking butt this Saturday against the New Orleans Hornets and we'll be at Roxy's. What a perfect Saturday night!!! Come on out and let's have a great time. Fiesta didn't end last weekend babies!

WOW! Good times!
What a blast we had at Roxy's. That place is always so cool. We're pumped for Billy D's this weekend, hope to see some of youse there!!!
NEW RINGER - JAMES KUVET
DR would like to welcome James
Kuvet as the newest Ringer. We had our first gig at the Firehouse
without a single practice and it was fun. Thanks to the Mission Girls
for coming as always and really cool meeting some of James' family/crew that
showed up. Check out our next show at Roxy's.
It's going to be a challenge for all of us while we look for our groove but
James is a good cat and I think everyone will dig him at our
shows.
James - and sorry about the "stay on E!!!!" and the " SUSTAIN, SUSTAIN! NO STACCATO!!!" We'll get there bro!
Finally! The pics are up from 02/01 at Roxy's. Check out the Mission(ary) Girls and a close friend of the band Ernie Cruz from Fuze!!! At this pace, I'll have the Billy D's pics up in a week from now...
Happy New Year???
Hope everyone is doing well in this new year. Have you quit your diet yet??? Anymawho, special thanks to those that have chimed in and reminded me that some people do actually visit this website to see what's up. The D.R. army may be small but it's nice to know it exists!!!
As most know by know, Dead Ringer is about to experience a devastating loss when our
soulman, Roland Pena, will be leaving the band to pursue other musical interests. It's an amicable split and the remaining Ringerz wish
Roland nothing but success and happiness with his new outfit. While we'll have a little less soul in our glow now, we are not
splitting and have several feelers out there for a replacement bass player - but those are some hard shoes to fill! Musician inquiries, don't hesitate to email me: mario@deadringerzone.com
So our website crashed in early December because I'm too cheap to buy plenty of memory to accomodate it. I figured with the popularity of MySpace, no one would care about this site anyways. Well, apparently there's still enough of youse that bypass myspace and come here to keep tabs of our schedule and pictures. So, MY BAD! This has motivated me to get off my lazy-techno-a$$ and get cracking on a new website. I wanted less flash and focus us on easy navigation with this version of the website so I hope it feels that way. My eyes get crossed and my patience dimmed when I'm on some of these sloppy and elementary websites. Especially Myspace - yuck! How many slide shows do you need??!!?? But I digress! Especially since there is a Dead Ringer myspace site as well! So keeping all of this in mind, this is what I came up with... Please let me know what you think!

p.s. - And although this looks like a blog-style website, it most certainly is not. I still may voice my opinion every now and again
Radisson Hill Country
Special thanks to Albert and all the good people out at the Radisson for the Christmas gig. Once we worked out the kinks, I think everyone had a blast. Special thanks to "The Mission Girls" for the lovely gifts! I hope everyone had a wonderful time! I know I did, even got a room for the night. Woohoo!
John, if you read this, sorry to hear your not at the Radisson any more but I hope you find success wherever you go.
